Wedding Planning: Ideas and Inspirations

So I have now had about three months for my engagement to sink in and I have been bombarded with questions from family, friends, and colleagues, about all the details of what I have in mind. After scanning through endless boards and pins on Pinterest (I am in my element haha!), I have a few ideas. You can visit my wedding board here.

After our sit down and our “wedding planning talk” We both knew that we want a relaxed wedding that’s pretty, full of happy tears, laughter, and bad dancing at the end of the night. I know I want a kind of rustic/vintage theme going, even as far to say as a “festival wedding” which sounds right up my street.

Mathieu and I aren’t religious so we have ruled out a church wedding as we just don’t feel it’s right or our style. People have offered suggestions such as golf clubs, town halls, hotels, and just a small ceremony at a registry office, but I just feel like none of them are really “me”

I think deep down I knew what I wanted and Mathieu willingly accepted when I told him that I wanted to get married outside. I want the sun shining, an arch filled with flowers, and hopefully the hazy smell of summer lingering in the air.

So I started to make a folder of images of wedding venues, table decor, flower arrangements, and wedding dresses that I want and putting them together. Thankfully Mathieu is so onboard and I couldn’t be happier that I’m marrying him.

I am so pleased with the outcome of these mini vision boards, they’re making me fill with excitement just looking at them!

Where are you planning on tying the knot? Did you have a pretty little church wedding or a chic hotel reception! Please share your ideas & memories!
